Our Plight...

People passing by all dressed in various manner and fashion
Drivers driving in various containers known as cars
Noise of the busy city that never ends
Citizens striving hard to survive
Killings and discrimination everywhere
Crime at it acme
The poor looks up to the rich who in turn kicks them like a football aimed at the goal post
Many people living below the standard of living
Is there any hope for a better tomorrow?
We all glamour and hope for a better tomorrow
I think it's possible
But is this how we are gonna wait for century upon century until this happens?
I doubt so
The so-called leaders of tomorrow being the youths ain't ready
Selfishness and greed has become a normal thing
Corruption is now hailed and exhorted
Honest and hard-working people are usually working with no result to show
Our society has changed a lot
Oh where are the good old days where discipline is encouraged
What we know is to criticize other religions
Without us asking ourselves if our lives is a portrait of what we claim to be
Hypocrisy and lies now the order of the day
Things are happening
Some claim to be civilised yet their brain still act and function like a retard
Do we still have virtuous people?
I look forward to seeing a CHANGE from this paradigm and status quo of ours.
