THE COSTS OF SUCCESS

There have been a lot of fallacies concerning success. Some say you have to work and work for long hours before you can be successful. Others say success is achieved when you virtually have everything. I disagree with this because success comes in diverse manners.

The costs of success can be divided into:
.
1. Physical Costs: For you to achieve your goals- it will require your time, energy and resources.
.
Just as Gary Vee will put it "constantly hit it day after day, never giving up, keeping your blinders on, focusing on your own shit and really really do you".
.
 Patience should be your best friend. No matter who you are, what you do or where you from, if you really have a passion for something, if you put in the work, I guarantee you, you will get somewhere.
.
Look for top people to partner with. In the words of Robert Kiyosaki, "if you want to become rich, you need to network with those who are rich or who can help you become rich".
.
2. Intellectual Cost: It is been said that ignorance is the greatest disease anyone can contact. Yes, I absolutely agree with this. If you don't know something, how will you do or go about it? Just like Sam Adeyemi will say "put a value on information". Buy books, watch videos and listen to podcasts that will help build you. Great leaders study.

How much do you know your business? The internet has made things easier, go online and search for information on business subjects such as:
.
(a) Communication Skills
.
(b) Leadership Skills
.
(c) Investment Skills
.
(d) Time Management Skills
.
(e) People Skills
.
(f) Money Management Skills
.
(g) Accountability Skills, etc.
.

3. Spiritual Cost: Every man or woman who has made it or is willing to make it must be ready to pay the price. You got to pray always and ask for God's favor and guidance.

But it is so unfortunate that some persons pray and pray (and) they just sit down where they are and expect a miracle to happen. You have got to do your part and for sure God is ever willing to do HIS part.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Years back when I was in SS1, everyone around me described JAMB as a tough exam. You have to read and read, you must be exceptionally intelligent, you must be this and that ... I held on to this fear and by the time I was in SS3, most of my classmates registered themselves for JAMB but I refused to do the same. Instead, I told my dad I'll like to school in the Benin Republic (I had friends schooling there) and he kind of agreed. I was happy (I felt I have conquered my enemy - JAMB). A few weeks later, my dad called me and told me a story (one of those stories that touch the heart). He said for some reasons best known to him I'll not go to study in Benin.   Challenges are bound to happen when it happens, our response to it determines what we get from it - we either become courageous/stronger or timid/weaker.
